Cardinal George & 12 Bishops Speak Out

The Cardinal's statement included the following:
"he also observed that there is legitimate potential to organize some form of protest at the ceremony.
"You have to sit back and get past the immediate moral outrage and say, 'Now what's the best thing to do in these circumstances?'" said the Cardinal. "

While I would dispute the description "embarassed" in lieu of scandalized and would EXPECT Fr. Jenkins to rescind the invitation (and take full responsibility for any embarassment caused the President)- it's wonderful to see the head of the Bishop's Conference speaking out. I pray that he will join us at the University May 16-17.
