On www.ndresponse.com web site is the following QUOTE from Bishop Jenkins:
"I am supportive of all efforts by NDResponse or any other prayerful and dignified demonstrations by Notre Dame students."

39 Bishops Speak Out Against the Scandal
There will be more. Pray that all will show the integrity to speak out against this scandal.
AND NOT ONE BISHOP has spoken out in favor of the University's decision to honor the most pro-abortion President in history.

319,000 sign petition against the University invite
http://www.cardinalnewmansociety.org/
Over 319,000 and counting!
Over 319,000 and counting!
CNS Distorts Bishop D'Arcy's statement.
Regarding the Catholic News Service story which mis-characterized South Bend Bishop D'Arcy's statement about planned protests of the scandal at Notre Dame as: Bishop urges against protesting speech. He said no such thing. And it's unfortunate Catholics who do not bother to read a little deeper into the story will be led to believe the Bishop is against all protests at the University. I expect sloppy reporting from the secular media, indeed the South Bend Tribune reported the same take on the Bishop D'Arcy's statement. But the Catholic media owes us more. Indeed, embedded in the story is the part of the Bishop's statement in question which actually contradicts the headline and the lead sentence of the story.
Bishop D'Arcy is nothing if not a refreshingly direct communicator. Just ask the University about his initial letter to them regarding the scandal. Indeed his entire statement was only 4 sentences long. If he wanted to say no to all demonstrations he would have said so. Instead he came out against "unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations". Indeed the South Bend/Fort Wayne Diocesan web site includes the full statement under the heading: "Concerning unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations at Notre Dame" Clearly the Bishop had certain kind of demonstrations in mind. He also noted the University "community is well equipped to supervise and support discussions and prayer within their own campus" which is why those of us who will pilgrimage to South Bend the weekend of May 16th and 17th will join ND Response, a coalition of pro-life student groups at the university who have single handedly and prayerfully taken on one of the largest Catholic Universities in the country over this scandal.

Concerning unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations at Notre Dame
April 10. 2009
I urge all Catholics and others of good will to stay away from unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations against our nation's President or Notre Dame or Father John L. Jenkins, CSC
The Notre Dame community is well-equiped to supervise and support discussions and prayer within their own campus.
I had a positive meeting this week with Father Jenkins and I expect further dialogue will continue. These are days of prayer and hope when we should turn to the Risen Christ for light and wisdom.
Let us all work towards a peaceful graduation experience for the class of 2009 at our beloved Notre Dame.

South Bend Journal Distorts Bishop's Statement
http://www.southbendtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090414/News01/904140347/0/FRONTPAGE
This South Bend Journal article included the following information:
Bishop John D'Arcy, whose diocese includes the university, is urging people to stay away from demonstrations against the school or Obama
The blogs lit up over this statement. My first reaction when I heard about it was to feel discouraged. But I wanted to find the actual quote first. It took a while to dig up the statement on the Diocesan web site.
I smelled a rat when I read this story. Sure enough the Bishops direct quote (below) was significantly different than the reporter's mis-characterization of the same.
It seemed odd to me that the reporter used direct quotes in the sentence afterwards "peaceful graduation" but did not do so about the whole demonstrators stay away thing.
The reporter could have easily included the two words the Bishop inserted before "demonstrations" ("unseemly and unhelpful") but chose to leave them out. He could have easily included those words. At the very least it was sloppy reporting. At it's worst it was deceptive editorializing on the news page.
The Bishop's exact words were to stay away from "unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations..." He made a distinction about the kind of demonstrations he wanted people to stay away from.
I think we can agree from his original letter about the scandal, the Bishop is a straight talker. Indeed his comments in this letter were very brief as well. If he didn't want people to come to the campus at all he would have said so. There is a reason he instead referred to "unseemly and unhelpful demonstrations". I share that concern. The students of NDResponse have engaged in no such activity and I think the Bishop is distinguishing their behavior from others.
His advice in this regard is good. I hope and pray that those who might be considering such demonstrations heed his words of advice. By keeping a prayerful peaceful presence we will keep the focus on the scandal and the victims of abortionists who cannot speak for themselves.
Please pray that massive numbers of Catholics will join us in South Bend that weekend.

Knights of Columbus Weigh In
http://www.ndresponse.com/ndkofc.html
The Knights of Columbus Council at the University has expressed it's opposition to the decision to honor the President and vowed over the next several weeks "to promote and defend, by legitimate means, moral truths concerning society, justice, freedom, respect for human life and the other rights of the person."
There have been several reports that there is real divisiveness on the campus.
The question is, will Knights from around the country come to support our brother Knights or leave them to fend for themselves.

Bishop Dornan blasts the University
http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/apr/09040204.html
Reverend John I. Jenkins, C.S.C.
Dear President Jenkins:
I wish to express in my own name and on behalf of the Catholic community of this Diocese, my dismay and outrage at your decision to invite the current President of the United States to address the 2009 graduates of the University of Notre Dame and to receive an honorary degree.
This decision of your flies in the face of the expressed directive of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in the year 2004, that Catholic institutions not so honor those who profess opposition to the Church’s doctrine on abortion and embryonic stem cell research.
I would ask that you rescind this unfortunate decision and so avoid dishonoring the practicing Catholics of the United States, including those of this Diocese. Failing that, please have the decency to change the name of the University to something like, “The Fighting Irish College” or “Northwestern Indiana Humanist University.” Though promotion of the obscene is not foreign to you, I would point out that it is truly obscene for you to take such decisions as you have done in a university named for our Blessed Lady, whom the Second Vatican Council called the Mother of the Church.
I sign myself
Very truly yours,
The Most Reverend Thomas G. Doran, D.D., J.C.D.
Bishop of Rockford

Cardinal George & 12 Bishops Speak Out
The Cardinal's statement included the following:
"he also observed that there is legitimate potential to organize some form of protest at the ceremony.
"You have to sit back and get past the immediate moral outrage and say, 'Now what's the best thing to do in these circumstances?'" said the Cardinal. "
While I would dispute the description "embarassed" in lieu of scandalized and would EXPECT Fr. Jenkins to rescind the invitation (and take full responsibility for any embarassment caused the President)- it's wonderful to see the head of the Bishop's Conference speaking out. I pray that he will join us at the University May 16-17.

Come to the University Sunday, April 5th
ND Response has announced that it will lead a prayerful demonstration this Sunday at 2pm.
The demonstration will take place on the steps of the Main Building of the University and will feature nationally-recognized attorney Harold Cassidy as keynote speaker.
Additional information on this demonstration can be found on the coalition's website www.NDResponse.com .
Tell friends and anyone else you think would like to come!
ND Response welcomes to campus all those supporters who would like to respectively and constructively stand in defense of both the Catholic identity of this University and the fundamental moral principle of the sanctity of life.
Go Irish! Save Babies! In Notre Dame, Jeff Tisak ND Response Demonstrations/Protests Committee Co-Chair Notre Dame Class of 2009
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Mario Cuomo's speech at the University laying out the blueprint for pro-abortion ("personally opposed but") Catholic politicians (and voters) like Cuomo. His bigoted rationalization continues to be echoed to this day by "Catholics" justifying their direct and indirect cooperation with the evil of abortion.

Judie Brown's commentary
Judie has been a stalwart in the prolife movement for decades. Her insights are invaluable.
http://www.all.org/newsroom_judieblog_response.php?id=2547
Also, I spoke with a prolifer in Indianna today and he mentioned the sense that this is the prolife SELMA.
Of course Selma wasn't "Selma" until the civil rights movement managed to get massive numbers of people there- people who put "flesh" on the "issue" of civil rights.
Had Dr. Martin Luther King and his fellow civil rights activists not thought BIG, Selma would be just another town in Alabama. God rewarded their faithfulness with an amazing victory. May we choose to be as faithful and BOLD.
If even a hundred thousand Catholics show up on that campus the weekend of May 16-17th it will be a watershed moment in the history of this country. Our country needs such a watershed moment as it grows more and more accoustomed to the holocaust of abortion.
WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO? Will you sacrifice one weekend out of your life to give "flesh" to the "issue" of abortion in a massive display of atonement for the evil of abortion?

3/30/2009 update
Plans are going ahead for a massive Catholic presence in South Bend.
That needs to be top priority for everyone.
Here's some additional contacts who have authority over the University and Fr. Jenkins, the source is Cardinal George's reply to one of our parishioners:
I am writing in reply to the e-mail you sent me about the University of Notre Dame’s decision to invite President Barack Obama to deliver its commencement address this May and to award him an honorary degree on this occasion. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE IN SOUTH BEND MAY 16/17.
WITH PLENTY OF COMPANY.
THIS IS A GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT. WHICH MEANS THIS WILL ONLY HAPPEN IF EACH ONE OF US SPREADS THE WORD.
IF WE DO NOT SHOW UP WE WILL SURRENDER TO YET ANOTHER SCANDAL ON A CATHOLIC CAMPUS- A UNIVERSITY WHICH CLAIMS OUR BLESSED MOTHER'S NAME.
IF A SCANDAL OF THIS PROPORTION ON THE MOST RECOGNIZED CATHOLIC CAMPUS IN THE UNITED STATES DOESN'T SPUR US TO ACTION- NOTHING WILL.
NO MORE HAND WRINGING OR DARKNESS-CURSING.
ENCOURAGE AND CHALLENGE FAMILY, CHURCH, AND PERSONAL CONTACTS TO JOIN US THAT WEEKEND AND SPREAD THE WORD.
REMEMBER THIS IS A GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT WHICH MEANS IT IS UP TO EACH OF US TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
THE WORLD CANNOT POSSIBLY TAKES US SERIOUSLY IF WE LET THIS PASS.
THIS PARTICULARLY SCANDAL IS HAPPENING AT A PARTICULAR PLACE AT A PARTICULAR TIME.
THAT IS WHY WE NEED TO BE THERE
IT WILL BE BROADCAST AROUND THE WORLD.
IF WE ARE NOT THERE, OUR ABSENCE WILL BE THE STORY.
IF WE ARE THERE OUR PRESENCE WILL CHALLENGE THE SCANDAL AND BE THE STORY.
OUR PRESENCE WILL HELP TELL THE PRESIDENT THAT WE REALLY BELIEVE THAT ABORTION IS MURDER.
THAT WE HONOR OUR BLESSED MOTHER AFTER WHOM THIS UNIVERSITY IS NAMED.
OUR ABSENCE WILL SPEAK TO THE PRESIDENT AS WELL
IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE YOU CAN STILL HELP RECRUIT OTHERS TO BE THERE IN YOUR PLACE.
MOST SACRED HEART IN EUREKA HAS DECIDED TO START BY FILLING A BUS.
LETS MAKE SURE EVERY PARISH DOES THE SAME.
IT'S VERY AFFORDABLE, ONLY $1450.00 FOR A MID-AMERICA 50-55 PASSENGER COACH FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND (INCLUDES A HOTEL FOR THE DRIVER).
THERE SHOULD BE NO HOUSING COSTS, WE WILL WORK WITH PARISHES IN SOUTH BEND TO FIND GYM/CAFETERIA FLOORS TO CALL HOME FOR SATURDAY NIGHT
CONTACT YOUR CHURCH/YOUTH GROUP/MEN'S GROUPS/KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS/WOMEN'S GROUPS/CHRIP GROUPS/FRIENDS/ PARISHIONERS AND INVITE AND CHALLENGE THEM TO FORM A PILGRIMAGE TO SOUTH BEND.
ASK YOUR PASTOR FOR 3 MINUTES AFTER COMMUNION AT ALL ALL OF NEXT SUNDAY'S MASSES TO EXPLAIN THIS GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT AND MOTIVATE THEM TO JOIN US.
WE OWE IT TO PREBORN CHILDREN.
WE OWE IT TO THE PROLIFE STUDENTS OF THAT UNIVERSITY.
WE OWE IT TO THE STUDENTS OF THAT UNIVERSITY WHO ARE APATHETIC ABOUT OR SUPPORTIVE OF ABORTION.
WE OWE IT TO OUR PRESIDENT- WHO IS BEING MISLED ABOUT WHAT CATHOLICS REALLY BELIEVE BY THE UNIVERSITY'S INVITATION.
WE OWE IT TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, THE AUTHOR OF ALL LIFE.
WE OWE IT TO OUR LADY WHOSE NAME THAT UNIVERSITY CLAIMS AS HER OWN.
WE OWE IT TO OURSELVES AND OUR CHILDREN, LEST WE BECOME EVEN MORE DISCOURAGED.
ASK THOSE YOU RECRUIT REGARDING THIS SCANDAL:
IF NOT THIS--- WHAT?
IF NOT NOW-- WHEN?
IF NOT US -- WHO?
WHAT MESSAGE WILL WE SEND BY BEING THERE?
WHAT MESSAGE WILL WE SEND BY OUR ABSENCE?
THOSE WHO CANNOT BE THERE CAN FORM PRAYERS GROUPS.
24 HR ADORATION WOULD BE AWESOME!
BEGINNING AT 3PM ON THE 16TH AND ENDING WITH THE MERCY HOUR ON THE 17TH- PRAYING THAT WE WILL BE FAITHFUL.
BUT OUR FIRST PRIORITY MUST BE TO GET EVERYONE THERE WE POSSIBLY CAN.
AND TO START NOW.

Pilgrimage to the University- Joe Scheidler
Today is the solemnity of the Annunciation, when Mary said YES to life.
The University which bears Our Lady's name is saying NO to life.
We owe it to Our Father in Heaven who chose Mary as His mother to do the honorable thing and defend her good name.
I just had the privlege of speaking with Joe Schiedler of the ProLife Action League in Chicago.
There will definitely be activities in South Bend the weekend of April 16-17th. Plans are in the works.
I see this as the ProLife Selma- time to put our bodies where our mouths are; to speak with our actions as well as our words: NOT IN HIS HOUSE.
E-mails/letters/phone calls are necessary and good but not SUFFICIENT.
It is time we, en masse, confront the culture of death which has invaded our Church
There is no doubt, from Fr. Jenkins interview in the student paper, that the University intends to go through with this abomination.
WE MUST ALL plan to be in South Bend that weekend. No excuses.
WE MUST ALL spread the word (particularly by e-mail) to everyone we know and have them do likewise.
THIS is a GRASSROOTS effort. It will not succeed unless each of us does our part.
We do not need to wait until FOCA comes up in D.C.---
FOCA IS COMING TO US- thanks to the University.
Also, if you know anyone who has children who will be graduating that day, I have a dream of how that evil can be confronted from the inside:
As the President begins to speak, the graduates
I see God's hand in that dream. May the students and family members of the University make that dream a reality.
Please pass this "DREAM" to everyone you know so eventually it will get to those who have children at Notre Dame so they can make it happen.

I HAVE A DREAM
As the President begins to speak, the graduates
- one by one
- from the first row to the back
- stand up and proclaim "I AM AN UNBORN CHILD",
- with each new person joining in the chorus it gradually builds to a creshendo.
- They will say nothing more.
- They will not respond to anything that's said to them.
- As long as the President speaks they will continue to chant
"I AM AN UNBORN CHILD"
If only 30% of those in attendance join in, they will represent the 30% of their generation who did not survive the abortion holocaust.
I see God's hand in that dream. May the students and family members of the University make that dream a reality.
Please pass this "DREAM" to everyone you know so eventually it will get to those who have children at Notre Dame so they can make it happen.

Bishop D'Arcy announces he will boycott the University's graduation. Read his letter, he says a lot in a short statement. God bless him.
http://catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=15467
This is the direct number to Fr. Jenkins' office: 574-631-3903.
As of 2:30 pm today, the operator said they're in the process of clearing the voicemails as his box is full. Keep those "cards and letters" coming.
Also, in St. Louis we're already organizing a pilgrimage to South Bend for the weekend of April 16/17. I pray that others will join us.
If we are to overcome the Culture of Death we need to clean our own house first. As Catholics, I can't think of a better place to start.

Scandal.com Petition and MY comments
The Cardinal Newman Society and Catholic Vote.org haveposted the following recomendations--
1) Go to www.NotreDameScandal.com. Together our aim is to collect thousands of signatures and present them to University officials. Sign the petition now.
2) Contact Notre Dame (we're already doing that)
3) Join your fellow CatholicVote.org members in a prayer of reparation on May 17 from 2-4 PM. We encourage you to organize local groups to pray for mercy for the decision by Notre Dame, but also for our nation for continuing to permit the tragedy of abortion.
***If you live in the Midwest, or near Notre Dame University, we invite you to personally join us in prayer at the Grotto on the campus of Notre Dame from 2-4 PM on May 17, where we will be joined by several Notre Dame professors, alumni, and current students. The gathering will be a peaceful and prayerful.
4) Please forward this message to your family and friends. Let them know about Notre Dame's decision to honor the most pro-abortion President in American history. We must not remain silent over this scandal
MY COMMENTS:
Catholic vote and the Cardinal Newman society have done wonderful things and my hats off to them for responding to this scandal. I am not however in agreement with all their comments.
I definitely like the prayer idea but am convinced that the Grotto will not hold the massive numbers that BETTER make it to South Bend that weekend.
I couldn't disagree with them more that a protest "will give "the wrong impression". The only wrong impression has been the relative silence of the masses in the pews over such scandals.
I suspect a few too many lawyers who by nature tend to be overly cautious, were consulted before the recomendations were made.
Why let the University control things, up to and including limiting our even to the time the President is there?
There should be a massive rally on the Saturday before, followed by an even more massive, prayerful picket of the University whereever we are able to manage it.
All the better if we are able to do it on the campus, so we can prayerfully reconsecrate those hallowed grounds that have been scandalized by this decision. To reclaim them for Our Lady, whose name the University claims as it's own.
I resent the inference that if you have too many prolifers, or we are actually protesting while we pray, we might be violent, or give a bad impression. Here we have prolifers, before the fact, limiting themselves by saying the campus is off limits. The only BAD IMPRESSION is that it's taken us this long to publically and in massive numbers confront this particular EVIL.
We do not have a gentlemen's disagreement with the University. They are directly advancing the cause of EVIL, we are there to claim the cross of Jesus. Not "Touchdown jesus", but the Jesus who suffered and died on a real cross, far less concerned about impressions than He was about being faithful to His Father's will.
We can walk and chew gum at the same time. Our massive protest will involve plenty of singing and praying. We know that it is only with God's help that our efforts have any meaning. But when the boat is sinking, we can pray while we grab life vests and put the lifeboat overboard.
The University brags about divresity and encouraging dialogue, we should approach them EXPECTING a place for our rally. After all as faithful Catholics we have far more right to be on that campus than the man who repeatedly opposed the Infants Born Alive Act, and is waiting in the wings for the opportunity to sign FOCA.
And those prolifers who feel led to pray at the Grotto can and will pray for the thousands and thousands who will be protesting/praying elsewhere.
I'll admit my Irish is up, but I know I'm thinking clear on this one. If we can't even reclaim the Catholic identity of our Universities how in the world do we expect to effect change in our culture at large.

NOT IN OUR HOUSE
Notre Dame University announced on Friday that they have invited President O'Bamma to be the commencement speaker at their LAW school on MAY 17.
I will include a copy of my e-mail to the university below, but first here's what needs to be done:
1. Call the University and express your outrage: 574-631-7367
2. E-mail them and do likewise: newsinfo@nd.edu
3. Spread the word far and wide.
3. Set aside your calender for the weekend of MAY 16/17th for a trip to South Bend. Do that now as a University that thinks it's bigger than the Church itself is not likely to bow to the pressure. As Catholics WE MUST draw a line in the sand over this.
Ask everyone to work on putting together a caravan (ideally a bus) from their parish.
I'll be checking on parishes in South Bend where we can spend the night to keep the costs down.
I plan to get a bus from our parish to make the trip- it's only a 5 1/2 hour drive- chump change compared to the March For Life trip.
NOT IN OUR HOUSE is a famous saying of the University. As a Catholic College they are OUR HOUSE. I think our motto should be "NOT IN OUR HOUSE"
MY e-mail to the University is below.
I am shocked and appalled at the University's decision to invite the most pro-abortion president in the history of our country as the law school commencement speaker.
You dishonor Our Blessed Mother who's name you claim as your own.
And as if to rub her face in it, you have the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe (when she appeared as a pregnant woman) just below that of President O'Bamma on your web site (http://www.ask.com/bar?q=notre+dame&page=1&qsrc=0&ab=0&u=http://www.nd.edu/)
You dishonor the tens of millions of preborn children who have died at the hands of abortionists since Roe v Wade/Doe v Bolton.
How dare you disgrace your Catholic heritage with such a decision.
Shame on the University (I will no longer dishonor Our Lady by using her name to describe your institution).
If you have even an ounce of integrity, you will no longer use the term "Catholic" to describe your University.
May God forgive you,

ProLife talk at Sacred Heart in Eureka
Dr. William Brennan of St. Louis University, will speak at Most Sacred Heart in Eureka on Sunday, March 22 at 7PM in the Pope John Paul II Library.
Dr. Brennan is a nationally recognized author and speaker. He will speak on the subject of his latest book:
John Paul II on Confronting the Language Empowering the Culture of Death in Ideology, Medicine and Law
Dr. Brennan's research uncovers how everyday language is used to support the "culture of death" and sensitizes us to recognize that language when we encounter it.We cannot defeat an enemy we do not understand.
Sacred Heart is on the Southwest corner of I-44 and Hwy 109 (turn East at the traffic light one block South of I-44).
Please join us at the John Paul II library which is accessed through the double doors at the base of the "U" in the parish courtyard.
Copies of Dr. Brennan's book will be available for purchase for 1/2 price. Here's Ignatius Press' information on the book:

Made up Statistics
Read the first article (below)- about the O'Bamma administration's propoganda for it's spendelous take over of America. VP Biden simply made up a statistic, knowing he wouldn't be challanged on the air- and he wasn't. Then read the second link- pay close attention to the second paragraph. Make the hair stand up on your neck? It should. Once you become part of "the LIE", using that same strategy to advance the rest of your agenda is a piece of cake.
ANYONE who voted for the most pro-abortion President in the history of our country, prefering to focus on all the "good" O'Bamma, promised was a fool. For this is how the "ends justifies the means" ethic works. It's appetite is insatiable.
May God have mercy on our country for turning our backs on the preborn for our own personal agendas.

Red Envelope to the White House
Came across this idea via an e-mail.
The idea is to swamp the White House mail room with red envelopes that represent babies killed through abortion. Each envelope is empty, signifying the life we never got to know.
Here are the simple instructions: ---
> 1. Get a red envelope at an office supply or party store. ---
>2. Address is to the president: President Barack ObamaThe White House1600 Pennsylvania Ave NWWashington DC 20500 ---
> 3. On the back, write this message: This envelope represents one child who diedin abortion. It is empty because that life wasunable to offer anything to the world.Responsibility begins with conception. ---
> 4. Stamp the envelope and mail it. It's that simple -- anybody can do it.
To be effective, we need HUGE numbers of pro-lifers toparticipate. So send YOUR red envelope, and let all your pro-life friends know about the campaign, too. When Barack Obama sees how many Americans are willing to TAKE ACTION to speak up for unborn babies, he may rethink his anti-lifepolicies. At the very least, he'll hesitate to push those policies so hard --We owe it to the babies to do what we can to put the brakes on thepro-abortion agenda in the White House.

12 y/o prolifer
Take out the misstatement about "unprotected sex" and this is a great lesson for the "grownups".
Saturday, February 21, 2009
Got permission from our pastor to initiate our ambitious ProLife plan for 2009. The plan includes bringing in prolife speakers who will speak after all the Sunday Masses prior to their evening presentation. Our hope is to reach those who would otherwise not come to a prolife presentation with at least a snippet of the message and perhaps draw more people to the full presentation. We also plan to have a parish mission on contraception (to occcur over an extended period of time) helping to address the pink elephant in the "pews" of our churches. Please pray for our success.

Culture of Death in Stimulus Plan
Hidden in the President's so-called Stimulus bill (O'bamma experience Paul's conversion) is a provision which further reflects the depths the culture of death will go to to further it's cause. See: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&refer=columnist_mccaughey&sid=aLzfDxfbwhzs

A Prayer for O'Bamma
I've been struggling with having a viseral response to President O'Bamma reminders (buttons, hats, signs, news stories, speeches, etc). The danger for me is becoming bitter and hard of heart.
I decided I need to turn that reaction into a reminder to pray for the President's conversion to the Culture of Life. Such a conversion will be on the scale of St. Paul's conversion on the way to Damascus. It is only such a conversion which will protect America, particularly our pre-born children, from the President's current advocacy of the Culture of Death.
Towards that end, I came up with the prayerful ejaculation which I'll pray silently whenever triggered by an O'Bamma sighting:
"O'Bamma experience Paul's conversion."
It will be good for me and for him- a real win-win.

Sunday, 2/8/9
Met with friends after Church and discussed the struggle against the culture of death under President O'Bamma, our own need to pray for his conversion, and hopefulness that Nancy Pelosi's bishop will soon publicly deal with her pro-abortion advocacy to help turn back the scandal of Catholic politicians (and voters for that matter), and the need to better educate fellow Catholics- perhaps we can bring Jason Evert to speak at the parish.
By the way Jason Evert is speaking at Desmet High School this Wed at 7:30 pm.

President O'Bamma's support of Infanticide
Searched the internet for pro-life stories this AM.
The one below is the very type of horror which President O'Bamma protected when in the Illinois House by repeatedly opposing a law intended to protect such victims from abortionists after they were born:
http://www.buffalonews.com/260/story/570428.html
Also prayers for Justice Ginsberg, not only for her physical health issues (pancreatic cancer) but more importantly for her spiritual health- that she might have a change of heart regarding her support of the culture of death.
It puts me in mind of a conversation I had with a man active in prolife who, prior to the election, justified voting for President O'Bamma since he didn't think he would necessarily have a chance to name a Supreme Court justice. Sad to say the least. We have a lot of work to do.

Also prayers for Justice Ginsberg, not only for her physical health issues (pancreatic cancer) but more importantly for her spiritual health- that she might have a change of heart regarding her support of the culture of death.

24/7 T Shirts/Monday 2/2/9's Activity
E-mailed links to the blog to a few more pro-lifers.
Feeling like the Maytag repairman at this point.
Called fellow Pro-lifer Sam Malek (www.morethancoffee.com) for advice on printing the 24/7 T Shirts.
Prayed for the conversion of President O'Bamma and failing that the defeat of his culture of death agenda.

2/1/2009 Prolife activity
Today, with the help of my daughter, I set up this Pro-Life blog.
My wife and I are Pro-Life Chairs at Most Sacred Heart and we collected 1,500 signed FOCA postcards to mail to our congressmen.
Productive day. Pray for life.

T-shirts

We decided it was a reminder that we are called to be pro-life 24/7. My daughter designed this t-shirt to go along with that pro-life 24/7 theme. The front says 24/7 with a small rose inside the "2". The back shows a rose above the phrase "contego incalpatus vita" which means "defending innocent life" in Latin.
